Although I wouldn't class this artist as rock she has captured a rock vibe in this photo, her outfit/costume fits my genre with the leather and chain look which makes the artist look edgy. I have selected this photo due to the pose, she is holding two awards/props on either side and projects a cool persona. Her stance is not forced as she seems relaxed, one knee slightly bens while the other seems straight and her hands are gripping the objects making the artist look fierce. I think a long shot looks good as we get to see the full outfir/pose this often gives the audience an opinion straight away. This will help me whilst taking photo's as I will have an idea of how I want my model to pose and I can then direct my model in what to do so that I get the look I want.
This is another pose I quite liked, this artist looks cool and laid backed. I like how the artist has used the guitar (a prop I'm using). He brings the guitar into the shot so we get an idea of what he plays, his head leans into the instrument making him and the guitar look like they are one together. The connotations of this would be that the guitar and the artist are part of eachother and he would be lost without it. The artist has a cigarette in his mouth and gives the camera a 'devil may care' look which a lot of people idolise. This pose will also help me in my photshoot as I now have an idea of how to incorporate the artist and instrument together.
